Job Title:  Circular Supply Chain Innovators

Job Description:

Do you want to help make the textile industry more sustainable?  The textile-to-textile circular supply chain is looking to fill multiple positions:

  • Collectors:  Willing to collect both post-industrial and post-consumer textiles in North America and Asia.

  • Sorters:  Must have the ability to mechanically sort post-consumer textiles in North America, Europe and Asia.

  • Aggregators: Space required to aggregate spent textiles from a variety of sources.  Ideal candidates have extensive retail and supply chain contacts in North America and Europe.  Additional responsibilities include developing mixed-fiber bundles that meet recycler specifications.

  • Pre-processors

    • Hard part removal:  Must have the ability to mechanically remove trims and hard parts from post-consumer textiles in North America and Europe.

    • Sanitization: Willingness to create systems to sanitize post-consumer textiles in preparation for mechanical recycling.  Strong contacts and knowledge of post-consumer collectors and mechanical recyclers.

    • Right sizing: Requires equipment that can cut, shred and alter textiles to meet size specifications for both mechanical and chemical recycling systems.

  • Recyclers

    • Mechanical:  Extensive experience mechanically recycling post-industrial textiles at commercial scale required. Must be willing and able to add post-consumer textiles to your portfolio.

    • Chemical:  Proficiency in chemical recycling of textiles at commercial levels.  Expertise in working with blends of polyester and cotton is imperative. Ability to process blends that include Spandex is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:  Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of the full textile supply chain -- a vision of the big picture is required.  A commitment to the environment and social well-being are non-negotiable.

This field requires removing spent textiles from landfill and successfully moving them through new supply networks.  Innovative ideas and the ability to execute in uncharted territory are essential.  Experience developing success metrics for an emerging business model is likewise a must.

These jobs will require the dexterity and resourcefulness to learn on the job; continuous learners are sought-after.  The Circular Supply Chain needs candidates who will be responsible for managing the inputs and outputs of specific supply chain nodes. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners within the circular supply chain to facilitate efficient connections at every node is required. Flexibility is a necessary aptitude as the industry develops and changes.

Employment type:  Full time +

Location:  Anywhere that generates spent textiles.

Compensation:  Unlimited growth potential based on abilities.
